EXQUISITE CORPSE
Exquisite Corpse was a proposed concept for my 2023 RMIT capstone project. Though I ended up not continuing with production, I still enjoyed the process of creating the script and animatic. I learned a lot, and would eventually like to revisit this short.
In Exquisite Corpse, a doctor arrives at a strange home in the countryside to assess a miraculous corpse. The mother—a lonely widow—has claimed that the body refuses to rot, that her child is a saint or proof of a miracle. The doctor is convinced that the mother has lost her mind, but he discovers that things are more complicated than they seem. The body is alive, dead, and hungry.
Exquisite Corpse explores themes of death, religion, science, and the unexplainable, as well as how people interact with these concepts.
